Isaiah Tour is a filmmaker and content creator based in Tāmaki Makaurau /Auckland. His skills include directing, producing, editing, writing, motion graphics and animation.
Born and raised in South Auckland, Isaiah was quick to pick up a camera, making short films and winning youth-based film competitions like The New Zealand Film Commission Filmmaking Achievement Award for his stop-motion animated film, The Bin Mistake, at The Outlook for Someday.
Isaiah achieved his first funding for his film, A Life Like This, as a part of the 2017 Someday Stories series, which was showcased at the 2018 Cambodia International Film Festival, DC Shorts International Film Festival, and the Māoriland Film Festival. His second funded short film, Losing My Language, was completed in 2018 through The Wireless.
Isaiah has also been involved with The Spinoff and Hex Work Productions, working on On The Rag, Scratched: Aotearoa’s Lost Sporting Legends, Two Sketches, Alice Snedden’s Bad News, in various roles such as Editor, Edit Assistant and motion graphics. He also co-directed, edited, and animated the web series Extremely Online for Shit You Should Care About.
To grow his slate, Isaiah recently stepped into more scripted work, editing a 10 part TikTok comedy series, Long x Xia, written and directed by Becky Kuek and Gwen Lin, and produced by Abba-Rose Dinah Vaiaoga-Ioasa (Samoa - Alafua, Toamua, Puipa'a).
Isaiah has also worked in the commercial space for brands such as The World Health Organisation, Just a Thought, KFC, Reebok, HP, Bravo TV, MediaWorks and THREE (Discovery NZ).
